Skull Mage is an Epic Ranged Hero who is an essential piece of the Wizard Mercenary strat in which you load your team up with the best Heroes who lead Wizards in order to deal the most damage possible and thus score the high points in the Battle Royale and Guild Clash Game Modes. It used to be debatable whether the Wizard or Sharpshooter strategy was more powerful, however now Wizards are now clearly better but even so it has become pretty irreverent to the most powerful lineups since Heroes now rule the day with all of the utility they have gained from Enlightenment, Glyphs, Empowered Hero Skills, levels and Weapons.

In his own right Skull Mage is not a very powerful hero, his attack is the 4th lowest amongst Epic Heroes and his HP ranks 3rd Lowest. All his utility comes directly from the fact that both his Active, Divine, and Insight skills provide himself and ALL Allied Wizard mercenaries some powerful buffs.

AppearanceEdit

Skull Mage appears to be a spectre with large red eyes and demon horns. He wears wizard robes and he hurls purple charges of electricity at his foes from a moderate range.

Hero SkillEdit

The Active, Divine, and Insight skill descriptions are unclear but they actually buffs all allied Wizard Mercenaries and not just his own as can be seen by a glowing blue orb and blazing blue framework over all units who have the buffs.

Source Beam buffs the Attack and Attack rate of Skull Mage and all allied Wizard Mercenaries by a very significant amount. This skill is a huge part of what lets Wizards pump out substantial dps making him a perfect fit for Battle Royale. Show All Levels

This can be a useful aid skill at lower levels but eventually +ATK% becomes much weaker than +DMG when a Hero obtains a large amount of +ATK, however many Hero Skills are based off ATK rather than DMG so it can still be very useful for any skill which needs that extra bit of punch to keep up. This can include Toxic Shaman and Ambrosia's heals {but not Abyss Demon as his is based of DMG) or Djinni's Assassination.

2 Grants Invincibility to Skull Mage and his Wizards, heals them to full HP, and increases their DMG, ATK Rate and SPD by 45%, 33%, 70% respectively. Lasts 10s.
3 Grants Invincibility to Skull Mage and his Wizards, heals them to full HP, and increases their DMG, ATK Rate and SPD by 60%, 50%, 100% respectively. Lasts 15s.
4 Grants Invincibility to Skull Mage and his Wizards, heals them to full HP, and increases their DMG, ATK Rate and SPD by 65%, 60%, 100% respectively. Also increases the DMG of allied Ranged Heroes by 25%. Lasts 15s.
5 Grants Invincibility to Skull Mage and his Wizards, heals them to full HP, and increases their DMG, ATK Rate and SPD by 70%, 70%, 100% respectively. Also increases the DMG of allied Ranged Heroes by 40%. Lasts 15s.

Fortitude SkillEdit

This skill used to only work on Sniper Towers, making it utter trash, but now that it works on all defensive structures it could be okay on a base with very high level defenses, however by that point the players will almost always have far more powerful Heroes to contend with anyhow. At the very least it could be an okay choice for a player to use during Guild Clash.

1 Skull Mage transfers into a Spectre upon death. The Spectre will latch itself onto one of your defensive structures, increasing it's DMG, DMG RED and ATK Rate by 33%, 41% and 21% respectively. If the defensive structure is destroyed, the Spectre moves to a nearby defensive structure. This occurs until all defensive structures are destroyed.
2 Skull Mage transfers into a Spectre upon death. The Spectre will latch itself onto one of your defensive structures, increasing it's DMG, DMG RED and ATK Rate by 58%, 58% and 37% respectively. If the defensive structure is destroyed, the Spectre moves to a nearby defensive structure. This occurs until all defensive structures are destroyed.
3 Skull Mage transfers into a Spectre upon death. The Spectre will latch itself onto one of your defensive structures, increasing it's DMG, DMG RED and ATK Rate by 100%, 75% and 50% respectively. If the defensive structure is destroyed, the Spectre moves to a nearby defensive structure. This occurs until all defensive structures are destroyed.
4 Skull Mage transfers into a Spectre upon death. The Spectre will latch itself onto one of your defensive structures, increasing it's DMG, DMG RED and ATK Rate by 100%, 75% and 55% respectively. If the defensive structure is destroyed, the Spectre decreases the DMG of nearby enemies by 25% for 6s before moving to a nearby defensive structure. This occurs until all defensive structures are destroyed.
5 Skull Mage transfers into a Spectre upon death. The Spectre will latch itself onto one of your defensive structures, increasing it's DMG, DMG RED and ATK Rate by 100%, 80% and 60% respectively. If the defensive structure is destroyed, the Spectre decreases the DMG of nearby enemies by 40% for 10s before moving to a nearby defensive structure. This occurs until all defensive structures are destroyed.

Insight SkillEdit

This skill have some great utility. It forces the player switch forms to maximize utility, and since switching forms costs rage and there are many times that it isn't to beneficial to swap forms it can be a bit tricky but party wide increased DMG can be hard to come by and healing/rage are such amazing resources.
